My top 5 antiaging skin care must do's

SPF30+

Non-negotiable! “Photoaging” is the damage caused by UVA + UVB light to collagen, elastin and melanin structures in the dermis resulting in wrinkles, poor skin texture and unseen pigmentation.


Why

The best way to prevent photoaging is with prevention. If you do nothing else your face, wear a daily moisturiser with SPF30+.

LACTIC ACID

This AHA (alphahydroxy acid) tends to be a little gentler thank glycolic so therefore can be tolerated by even sensitive skin types. It cold be found in cleansers serums and moisturizers. It smooths and brightens the skin primarily by adding exfoliation and hydration.

Topical Vitamin A’s come in varying strengths and qualities and commencing on Vitamin A’s can cause irritation in some skins. So, start on lower concentration products and build up to more effective medical grade or prescription length brands. Topical Vitamin A works its antiaging magic significantly by increasing cellular turnover and reducing environmental related skin damage.

As the Vitamin C molecule is notoriously unstable and difficult to penetrate the skin, it’s best purchased in medical grade skin care to ensure effectiveness. Source 10% Vitamin C concentration or more on your product.
